Cleanship were contracted to undertake a full turnkey BWMS retrofit on a Super Yacht measuring over 58ft in overall length.
During the first week of July 2020, Cleanship was appointed to carry out a turnkey BWMS project on board a superyacht of 58mt overall length. The vessel required a suitable system 30mc/h with compact dimensions and optimized installation due to tight spaces in the engine room. The Cleanship BALSelect Feasibility Study was used to determine most suitable system. In this case, this was determined to be the BioSea BWTS by BioUV.
This project showcased our team’s experience in handling all aspects of environmental retrofits, from initial laser survey to the commissioning process. During the initial survey, our multi-skilled team also carried out IHM Part I. Both the environmental retrofit and IHM survey were carried out in preparation for the vessel’s upcoming sale.
Owing to our presence across multiple territories, our team were able to meet the demands of tackling a project across multiple locations during the ongoing pandemic.
Experienced project managers ensured that procurement was carried out accurately and efficiently, enabling smooth prefabrication and installation phases. We engaged with class early in the process. This coupled with our on-site supervision team’s presence ensured installation was carried out as per scope, whilst remaining on time and on budget. Commissioning of the system took place in the presence of ABS with assistance provided by Cleanship. The turnkey project concluded in mid December 2020 after a successful commissioning phase.
